Passionate about drawing and history of Art, Didier Coussin thought he would become a teacher. However, at the age of eighteen, he was introduced to the world of fashion. Fashion shows were for him a fusion of creativity, elegance of the materials as well as precision in fabrication. When he realized that fashion, like art, was a wide realm with demanding codes he knew he had to work in this field.
He entered the prestigious Esmod School and became a stylist and designer. After two years of styling in prêt-à-porter collections, the great shoe designer Robert Clergerie noticed his talent and asked him to be part of his team of research & development. Didier Coussin then became a stylist of this maison while following classes as a shoe designer at the AFPIC.
Thanks to his precise stroke and his deep knowledge of materials and forms, the designer has launched several collections for brands in Europe such as Fiorucci, Chipie, Fornarina,Stéphane Kélian, Miss Sixty as well as in the US for Philip Simon.
For more than twenty years, the talented designer has collaborated with prestigious houses and has also developed his practical knowledge by designing for kid as well as sport brands.
Technique, comfort and quality meet creativity and femininity. All his creations are the result of a man’s profound vision of fashion.
With his Atelier, Didier Coussin thus decides to offer his clientele an antidote to classicism with timeless as well as modern collections.
